Dance Ireland is the representative body for dance in Ireland. The organisation aims to celebrate, develop and promote the diversity of dance practices in Ireland today by offering a training and development programme and by providing practical support and services for dance artists. Dance Ireland is committed to providing initiatives in Dublin, countrywide and internationally.

Dance Ireland also manages DanceHouse, Ireland’s only custom-built dance studio venue, on behalf of Dublin City Council. Featuring six dance rehearsal studios, an artists’ resource room, green room area and exhibition spaces, DanceHouse is a working base for dance practice and a hub for the wider dance community.

A member of the European Dancehouse Network, Dance Ireland’s international programme is supported by Culture Ireland on a project basis, the EU Culture Programme for European cooperative projects including E-motional Bodies and Cities and modul-dance and the EU Lifelong Learning Programme for Communicating Dance (CD).
