Mind your step is a path that aims at enhancing the value of urban spaces, creating a dialogue between town planning and contemporary dance. This path traced a choreography on the urban fabric, a new choreography of the city. Conceived and curated by Léim participant Giulia Galvan (IT), it happened twice, in Bassano del Grappa (24^th August 2014) and in Dublin (7^th and 8^th March 2015). In Bassano, it was delivered in collaboration with Marcel Bassachs (ES) and in Dublin with Eleanor Creighton (IE) and Argyris Argyrou (CY).

Bassano – Mind your step in Bassano was conceived as a one-day event, on the 24^th August 2014. In the morning, a roundtable with urban planning experts, a cultural activist and a choreographer was organised in Bassano Urban Center, which for the first time hosted a dance-related event. In the afternoon the public enjoyed three performances by Tommaso Monza & Claudia Rossi Valli, Chiara Frigo and Silvia Gribaudi, connected by a conscious walk through known and less-known parts of the city of Bassano del Grappa.

Dublin – Mind your step in Dublin was conceived as a weekend of events from 7 to 8 March 2015, aiming to explore the connection between choreography, live performance, walkscapes and urban planning. Endeavouring to enlarge the audience for dance and raise awareness about the development and regeneration of urban areas, Mind your step comprised a conference/think tank, curated by Eleanor Creighton and a performance trail curated by Giulia Galvan. Each performance reflected on aspects of the area’s shifting identities and stories and forms one ‘stop’ on a guided walk. The walk gave audiences a different perspective on this rapidly changing part of Dublin.
